  • Since the outbreak of COVID-19 TikTok had a notable spike in global downloads of 315 million in Q1 2020 only.
  • The first social network was created in 1997 and it was called Six Degrees.
  • The first major popular social media platforms were Friendster in 2002 and MySpace in 2003. Soon after, Facebook launched in 2004 and it became the largest social media platforms in existence.
  • The most popular instagrammed food is Pizza followed by sushi and steak
