Marsa Junction Project
The Marsa Junction Project aims to improve Malta’s main north-south access road, with the introduction of seven flyovers. This junction is the first of its kind on the Island. Communiqué’s initial task in this project was to create a logo for the brand. Following a rigorous process, we developed a brand logo that reflects the project’s scope, a logo that will communicate effectively to all stakeholders, the project’s significance, that radically improving traffic flow and reducing congestion and pollution at a nation-wide level, eventually linking the country’s main roads from north to south.

Publicity Campaign
All publicity campaigns linked to this project featured in both Maltese and English, on various media, reaching out to the general public at different stages of the project timeline. Channels include social media, online media, including all local news portals, all local newspapers and periodicals, outdoor, radio, and TV.
Working with the approved brand identity, a portable outdoor backdrop was designed to be used for the various launch events signaling the different stages of the Marsa Junction Project. Branded hoarding was also set up around the construction sites of the project area, and over 60 project branded roadside boards were erected to announce and give better visibility to the project. Another collateral material was designed in accordance with the brand guidelines.

Nationwide Leaflet
At the start of the project, a brochure informing the public about the key benefits of the project was produced and distributed nationwide. A 3d map of the project’s flyovers was designed to explain the various routes and directions, thus bringing this project to life in an illustrative way for everyone to understand.

Social Media
Regular social media posts are designed to communicate public announcements regarding the opening of any of the flyovers. Various weekly posts also announce changes in routes, temporary deviations, and instructions regarding the direction of traffic flow, to keep the general public well informed. Our involvement in this project is for a duration of two and a half years. The Marsa Junction Project was completed in 2021.
